Construction Update (November 2025):
- Temporary heaters are being installed for the winter season
- More equipment is running on site
- Demolition (mostly interior) continues through the end of the month
Construction Update (October 2025):
- Next month will see additional equipment on site (man-lifts and material lifts)
- All activity will take place within the perimeter of the construction site
- Some more construction noise throughout the day like back-up alarms
- Weekly deliveries and dumpster clearance will continue

- No changes to traffic or other site logistics
- Weekly dumpster clearance continues
- Internal demolition ongoing inside the buildings
Construction Update (August 2025):
- Internal demolition is ongoing. For the next month, all work will be on the interior of the buildings.
- Continuing reclamation of architectural woodwork for future reuse
- Trailer is in place on 6th Street
- Site fencing is up
- No anticipated change to traffic/circulation or street work
- Dumpster is getting cleared out weekly
Construction Update (July 2025):
- Construction began with approval of below Construction Management Plan by City of Cambridge
Construction Management Plan:

- Nauset will be renting the sidewalks and parking spots on our side of the streets (in purple):
- North side of Thorndike Street
- West side of Sixth Street
- East Side of Seventh Street
- Dumpsters will be set up on all three streets as marked in orange boxes
- Jersey barriers and fencing will be set up along the orange line
- Thorndike Street will become one-way traffic
- No parking on the south side of Thorndike Street
- Crosswalks as highlighted in yellow will be accessible for pedestrians
- Tree protection will be set up at the trees as marked on Sixth Street
- Site trailer will be set up on the East Side of Sixth Street by the end of July
- City Arborist will be trimming trees on July 14 – 15
- Jersey Barriers and fencing will be set up on July 16 along the orange line
- This construction management plan has been approved by the City of Cambridge
